INK UPDATE:
If any of the needed stamp pads used in the Brush workshop are out of stock, we have recommendations for other colors that would work.
Smoothie can be replaced with Pixie, Candy Apple or Raspberry.
Lagoon can be replaced with Glacier.
Another option for all the flowers stamped in this workshop is to use the scraps of the Pixie and Smoothie cardstock and stamp just the outline flowers in Black ink directly on the colored cardstock. We use this technique on some of the cards and it can be applied to all of them, if needed.

Hot Summer Days, Cool Crafting Nights

Summer is full of fun moments you will want to document for years of enjoyment.

I remember being a child, new kid in town, we had just moved to Colorado from Virginia.  That was the summer I realized not everywhere was so hot and humid!  No fireflies, no sweet smell of my favorite honeysuckle bush, no sweating at bed time (woo hoo!) because a window fan pulled in all that cool Colorado night air and we could sleep well.

Today, we have window AC (house is almost as old as I am ha ha ha ha) and an above ground pool to utilize when the heat gets to be too much.  I've been trying to get my work done in the mornings so I can avoid the warm temps in my crafting space but it seems most of my creating happens in the evening.

I've been able to keep up with my weekly scrapbook pages for my Year In The Life 2020 album.  I'm pretty dang proud of myself for being able to keep up and not just quitting when I get too busy with the rest of my life.  I know I will be glad that I continued to create.  With CTMH I am able to get my projects done as fast or as slow as I choose.  The amazing products available to use make it that easy!

For June, I am using the paper collection Stitched Together to stay on track.  I absolutely LOVE the patterned paper, it is so sweet!  

One of my favorite features in the paper is the little ladybugs!  They are just wonderful.  The paper makes me think of quilting fabric.  I am going to be creating some cards this week and will post them in my Sunday blog so stay tuned.

So Many Cards, Stamps and Layouts!

May is almost over.....

I've been working so hard this month trying to get more cards and layouts done but I haven't updated my blog as much as I had hoped to so here I am, getting it done.

It might seem like time is creeping by since the COVID-19 stay at home orders but for me, it is going by pretty fast.  My kids are done with school, the triplets have had zero pre-school and I think we are all getting burned out for various reasons.  I have found that throughout this crisis, creating has kept me sane.  I honestly don't know what I would be doing if it wasn't for my Close To My Heart business and all that it has brought me.  I've always loved creating art, even when I was a little kid.  This is why I have been with CTMH for years.  It is my safe decompression outlet.  The amazing people I've met, the friends I have made, all of it has kept me going.  Thank you to all my customers too!  I love ya!

I used the Pinwheel Thin Cuts Item Number: CC5204 to create this cute card.

The papers and  sticker sheet from Blue Skies Paper Packet Item Number: CC5206 came together in a nice bright card.  I added on some Christmas Red Stickles™ Glitter Gel Item Number: Z3555 to the strawberry sticker and some Golden Rod Stickles™ Glitter Gel Item Number: Z3560 to the sun shine sticker to make it pop!  Super fast to create and I love it!
