Halloween is tomorrow?!?

Wow, I just can't believe that Halloween is already here.  That means Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas are just around the corner.  I need to get into high gear with my crafting or else LOL!

Yesterday I worked on a few projects.  I have one to show for now.  It is a cute 4.25 x 5.5 card created on orange cardstock.  I used my Cricut CTMH Artbooking cartridge to cut out the owl, the frame and the spider out of black cardstock.  I positioned the frame on my card base and stamped the cut little witch with black exclusive inks stamp pad.

The spider was fun to do.  I stuck on 5 square sparkles then covered the whole front of the body with liquid glass and let it dry.  It makes the spider look shiny and allowed me to move the legs to different positions up and down to look creepier.   When it was dry I used adheisive to stick to the upper corner of the frame.

The owl was the first thing I have wet embossed in quite awhile.  It had been so long in fact I couldn't remember where I put my embossing gun!  After 30 minutes of searching I finally found one (I have two, both misplaced).  I took my VersaMark watermark stamp pad and stamped the owl.  Next came the embossing powder.  After I shook it off, on went the heat gun.  I put a small piece of yellow cardstock behind the owl's eyes then stuck the bitty sparkles in each eye.  I stamped out the broom underneath the frame and stuck the owl to the broom with a piece of 3-D foam tape.

Last but not least I punched holes along each side of the card and sewed sparkly gold thread through giving the card a little pop.  Inside the card I stamped "if the broom fits ride it."  It didn't take too long to actually make the card but it sure took me forever to find my supplies.  Getting organized is one of my big goals.  My scrapbooking pages I'm working on today will come together faster because I already have all my stuff out and ready to go!
