The end of 2014 means a beginning is right around the corner!

Holy scraps, the end of 2014 is here!

Yes, 2014 has flown by and here comes 2015.  A new year for the start of many amazing new things!  I have some new clubs and activities planned.  Here is a list of what January has in store for all of you.  All dates and prices will be posted by January 1st.  After that, I will post the dates and costs the second week of the month for the following month's get together.

Creative Colorado Card Club

Jump right in with getting 10 cards done a month, 2 cards of 5 different designs and one central theme, for example Valentines Day.   Each month I will feature one theme and then post the cards to show off what you will be making.  You will not have to live in my town to participate.  I can mail out your card club package to your home.  There will be options to purchase additional items to create a 2 page scrapbook layout.  The directions for the cards will be provided.

Picture My Life Scrapbooking Meet Up

Once a month we will meet, either at my house or a different location, depending on how many folks want to participate.  Picture My Life scrapbooking is scrapbooking in a snap!  It is a quick and easy program where you can choose from 15 amazing double-sided cards in 3" x 4" and 4" x 6" horizontal and vertical designs.  The cardstock-weight cards feature journaling spaces, sentiments, or a variety of icons.  I will have all of the sets available for you to purchase by the card.  You can buy as many as you would like!  I will also have 12" x 12" albums (both post and 3 ring) available to pre-purchase and I will have the My Creations Mini Book, both in kraft and black colors, available to purchase to the meet up.  This scrapbooking program is FUN and designed to help quickly organize your precious photos.

Creative Corner Classes

Meetings will be one evening a month.  Get together to create a craft that isn't anything like what you may be used to!  We will be cutting out vinyl with my Cricut to create one of a kind crafts.  You will create birthday boxes, treat bags, wall art and many other neat designs.

I can't wait to get the new year started!

Studio J, digital scrapbooking plus get entered to win with CTMH!!!

After not much time at all, I've completed my Studio J goal for the week.  Yes, I did 10 layouts!  This is the best time to try out Studio J or for those of you like me, lots of digital photos but not enough time to print and create pages off line, this deal is for YOU!  $5 a layout and you can be entered into a contest to win! Here are the details.

November marks the five-year anniversary of Studio J®, and that means it’s your lucky month, with five amazing ways to win through Studio J and Close To My Heart social media!
First, throughout the month of November, all layouts purchased in Studio J are $5! That is a savings of over 25% off of retail—an unprecedented deal!
Your second chance to win big must come by sheer luck: every fifth order placed in Studio J during November receives a FREE surprise Close To My Heart accessory in its shipping box! The accessory has a retail value of $5 or more.
If luck doesn’t smile on you in that way, you might stumble upon it by finding a little extra something in your Studio J box. Five “golden tickets” will be sent out during the month of November with randomly selected Studio J print orders! This “golden ticket” is redeemable for one of Close To My Heart’s new D-ring albums* loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors™.
For a fourth way to win, simply create new, gorgeous layouts in Studio J, select your favorites, and then post pictures of them on Close To My Heart’s Facebook page using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. After November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries based on their artistry and creativity and each of these winners will receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!
And there is one last way to win: take your new Studio J artwork and post a picture of it on Instagram using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. Just as it is with Facebook, after November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries to receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!

Here are my layouts.

It took me a total of 5 hours to do 10 full two page layouts.  That includes all the edits to the photos and getting them from Google+ to my downloads file on my computer.  I urge you to get over to MrsAnnaLight CTMH and get some scrapbooking done!

The first 5 folks to purchase Studio J layouts from my online business account will get a special treat from me.  Don't waste time, start creating your pages today :-)

Halloween is tomorrow?!?

Wow, I just can't believe that Halloween is already here.  That means Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas are just around the corner.  I need to get into high gear with my crafting or else LOL!

Yesterday I worked on a few projects.  I have one to show for now.  It is a cute 4.25 x 5.5 card created on orange cardstock.  I used my Cricut CTMH Artbooking cartridge to cut out the owl, the frame and the spider out of black cardstock.  I positioned the frame on my card base and stamped the cut little witch with black exclusive inks stamp pad.

The spider was fun to do.  I stuck on 5 square sparkles then covered the whole front of the body with liquid glass and let it dry.  It makes the spider look shiny and allowed me to move the legs to different positions up and down to look creepier.   When it was dry I used adheisive to stick to the upper corner of the frame.

The owl was the first thing I have wet embossed in quite awhile.  It had been so long in fact I couldn't remember where I put my embossing gun!  After 30 minutes of searching I finally found one (I have two, both misplaced).  I took my VersaMark watermark stamp pad and stamped the owl.  Next came the embossing powder.  After I shook it off, on went the heat gun.  I put a small piece of yellow cardstock behind the owl's eyes then stuck the bitty sparkles in each eye.  I stamped out the broom underneath the frame and stuck the owl to the broom with a piece of 3-D foam tape.

Last but not least I punched holes along each side of the card and sewed sparkly gold thread through giving the card a little pop.  Inside the card I stamped "if the broom fits ride it."  It didn't take too long to actually make the card but it sure took me forever to find my supplies.  Getting organized is one of my big goals.  My scrapbooking pages I'm working on today will come together faster because I already have all my stuff out and ready to go!

Here are the supplies you would need to make the card:
